With our communities amazing growth, more and more public figures and businesses are joining TikTok. The previous Crown & Badge systems are due for a change. To reduce the risk of account impersonation of creators and bring you a better experience on TikTok, we’ve decided to update the previous Crown & Badge system into a new verification system.
- What does TikTok Verification mean? What’s the difference between Yellow-V and Blue-V?
Yellow-V is verification for public figures and famous content creators; Blue-V is verification for brands and organizations. A verified badge does not imply an endorsement by TikTok.
- Under what circumstances will the V mark be withdrawn?
Verification can be removed for violations of our Community Guidelines, in addition to other penalties including video removal and account termination. If you notice verified accounts posting content that does not comply with our Community Guidelines, please report them through the app. Together we can create and maintain a safe and inclusive platform for everyone.
- Why is TikTok converting Crowns and Badges into Verification? I do prefer Crown…
The conversion from crowns and badges to verification was done in order to streamline verification on TikTok for all users. We plan to expand verification into various sub-groups. Please share any feedback you have about verification by contacting us.
- How can I get Verified?
The majority of crowned accounts were converted to verified accounts. Currently, you can not apply to be verified. We will let you know as soon as possible when we make any changes.
