Refreshing your For You feed on TikTok
You can refresh your For You feed to update the content recommended to you on your feed. When you select the option to refresh your feed, we'll show you some popular content. Your interactions with this content, such as liking and commenting, will help reshape your For You feed recommendations by informing us about the type of posts you're interested in.
How to refresh your For You feed
From your settings
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top.
3. Tap Settings and privacy, then tap Content Preferences.
4. Tap Refresh your For You feed and follow the steps on the screen. Once you refresh the feed, it can't be undone.
From the For You feed (in select regions)
1. Go to the feed in the TikTok app, press and hold the post or tap the Share button.
2. Tap Why this video.
3. Tap Adjust your For You.
4. Tap Refresh your For You feed and follow the steps on the screen. Once you refresh the feed, it can't be undone.
Keep in mind that if you choose to refresh your For You feed, only your For You feed is affected—other areas of TikTok, such as your Following feed, profile, inbox, and ads, will not be impacted.
