About your data
You can adjust your ads settings to change the way advertisers share your data, including your off-TikTok activity. You'll always see ads on TikTok based on data described in our Privacy Policy.
How to disconnect or reconnect advertisers
You can disconnect advertisers to stop tailoring ads with your off-TikTok data from that advertiser. You can reconnect with advertisers at any time.
To disconnect or reconnect advertisers:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top.
3. Tap Settings and privacy.
4. Tap Ads.
5. Tap Disconnect advertisers. If you have data available from advertisers, a list of advertisers you recently interacted with will be displayed.
To disconnect:
༚ Turn the setting off next to the relevant advertiser(s).
To reconnect:
༚ Tap Advertisers you have disconnected and select the advertiser(s) you want to reconnect with by turning on the setting next to the advertiser name.
Note: This feature is currently not available everywhere.
How to clear your off-TikTok activity
You can clear the activity that advertisers have shared with us about your off-TikTok activity every 24 hours.
To clear activity:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top.
3. Tap Settings and privacy.
4. Tap Ads.
5. Tap Clear activity.
6. Tap Confirm.
