If you are experiencing problems with the TikTok app, try working through these troubleshooting steps. Before following these steps, make sure you are running the latest versions of the TikTok app and your device's operating system.

Restart the app and your device

We recommend restarting the app and your device as the first step in troubleshooting.

Check Internet connection

Weak data or Wi-Fi signal can also impact your experience on TikTok. Try switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data to troubleshoot whether or not the issue is related to connectivity.

Clear app cache

If internet connectivity is not the issue, try clearing your app cache.

To clear your cache:

1. Tap Profile in the bottom right.
2. Tap the 3-line icon in the top right.
3. Tap Settings and Privacy.
4. Tap
Clear cache.
