What is multi-guest on TikTok LIVE?
The multi-guest feature allows creators to host guests during their LIVE video. Viewers can send guest requests or creators can invite a limited number of guests to connect to their LIVE in audio or video mode. During the LIVE, other viewers can send Gifts to the creators and connected guests.
How to manage your multi-guest settings on LIVE
To manage your multi-guest permission settings:
1. During your LIVE, tap Guests at the bottom.
2. Tap the Settings button, then adjust the following permission settings for your LIVE:
༚ Allow requests from viewers: Allow multi-guest requests from all viewers.
༚ Allow requests from followers only: Only allow multi-guest requests from people who follow you.
༚ Moderators: Add or remove moderators. Once you add moderators, you can give them permission to use certain LIVE settings.
To manage your multi-guest layout settings:
1. During your LIVE, tap Guests at the bottom.
2. Tap the Settings button, then adjust the following layout settings for your LIVE:
༚ Panel: This layout keeps you on the main screen. We recommend using this layout for one-on-one LIVE videos or guest audio chatting.
༚ Grid: This layout gives guests more exposure on the screen. We recommend using this layout for talent performances or game play.
༚ Fixed layout: This layout will remain the same regardless of the number of participants. Otherwise, the layout will automatically adapt based on the number of viewers.
How to manage guests during your LIVE
To invite guests to join your LIVE:
1. During your LIVE, tap Guests at the bottom.
2. Tap Invite, then select other creators or friends to join as guests.
To remove a guest from your LIVE:
1. During your LIVE, tap Guests at the bottom.
2. Tap the Disconnect button next to the guest you want to remove.
How to join a LIVE as a guest
To request to join someone's LIVE:
1. During someone's LIVE, tap Multi-guest at the bottom, then tap Request. Keep in mind that the multi-guest option may not be available for everyone's LIVE.
2. Once they accept your request, adjust your LIVE video settings.
3. Once you're ready, tap Go LIVE.
To accept an invite to join someone's TikTok LIVE:
1. Tap Accept on the LIVE invitation.
2. Adjust your LIVE video settings.
3. Once you're ready, tap Go LIVE.
Note: Before you join their LIVE, we'll check your device's camera and microphone permissions to make sure you can connect. Your camera or microphone won't be enabled until you go to your LIVE video settings.
