What is multi-guest on TikTok LIVE?
The multi-guest feature allows creators to host guests during their LIVE video. Viewers can send guest requests or creators can invite a limited number of guests to connect in audio or video mode. Other viewers can then send gifts to the creators and guests during the LIVE video.
How to invite guests to join your TikTok LIVE
To invite guests to join your TikTok LIVE:
1. During your LIVE, tap the Multi-guest button at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap Invite and select other creators or friends to join as guests.
3. Tap Accept to approve friends' or viewers' requests to join your LIVE.
How to manage your TikTok LIVE multi-guest settings
1. During your LIVE, tap the Multi-guest button at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap the Settings button. From here, you can change the following layout and permissions for your LIVE:
༚ Panel: This layout keeps you on the main screen. We recommend using this layout for one-on-one LIVE videos or guest audio chatting.
༚ Grid: This layout gives guests more exposure on the screen. We recommend using this layout for talent performances or game play.
༚ Fixed layout: This layout will remain the same regardless of the number of participants. Otherwise, the layout will automatically adapt based on the number of viewers.
How to remove guests from your TikTok LIVE
To remove a guest from your TikTok LIVE:
1. On the LIVE screen, tap the X button next to the guest you'd like to remove.
2. Tap End now to confirm.
Or,
1. Tap the Multi-guest button at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap the X button next to the guest you'd like to remove. Alternatively, you can go to the guest's profile from here and tap the Disconnect button.
How to accept an invite to join a TikTok LIVE
To accept an invite to join a TikTok LIVE:
1. On the notification inviting you to join a LIVE, tap Video Join or Audio Join to accept.
2. Adjust the video settings which allow you to add the Enhance filter, select Props, and turn the camera and audio on or off. We'll start to capture your camera and mic so that you can preview the video and audio before joining the LIVE.
3. Once you're ready, tap Go LIVE. You'll join the LIVE in 5 seconds.
How to request to join a TikTok LIVE
To request to join a TikTok LIVE:
1. During a LIVE video, tap the Multi-guest button, then tap Apply.
2. Once the creator accepts the request, you'll be directed to the video settings which allow you to add the Enhance filter, select Props, and turn the camera and audio on or off. We'll start to capture your camera and mic so that you can preview the video and audio before joining the LIVE.
3. Once you're ready, tap Go LIVE. You'll join the LIVE in 5 seconds.
Note: Once you accept a LIVE invitation, we'll check the camera and mic permissions on your device to make sure you can connect to the LIVE. We won't capture your camera or mic until you go to the LIVE video settings to make sure you can preview your video or audio before joining the LIVE.
