What are Gifts on TikTok?
Gifts are virtual items you can use to engage with content on TikTok. You can send Gifts while browsing your feeds or during a LIVE on TikTok.
Note: You must be at least 18 years old (or 19 in South Korea) to access Coins and Gifts.
How Gifts work on TikTok
To access Gifts, you'll need to purchase Coins. After you activate a Gift, the number of Coins needed will be deducted from your balance. The number of Coins needed to activate each Gift is displayed below the Gift.

How to purchase Coins on TikTok
You can purchase Coins in the TikTok app through third-party app stores such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. In supported countries, you can also purchase them directly from the TikTok website. Depending on your location, Coins may also be available through gift cards, which can be redeemed on the TikTok website.

Recharge Coins from Balance
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select Balance.
3. Tap Get Coins, then choose the Coins package that you'd like to purchase.
4. Tap Recharge, then follow the steps to complete the purchase through the applicable app store.
Recharge Coins from a LIVE
1. In the TikTok app, tap the Gift button at the bottom of a LIVE. If you don't see Gifts, then gifting isn't available for this LIVE.
2. Tap Recharge at the bottom and choose the Coins package that you'd like to purchase.
3. Follow the steps to complete the purchase through the applicable app store.
Recharge Coins from the TikTok website
1. Go to www.tiktok.com/coin.
2. Choose the Coins package that you'd like to purchase.
3. Click Recharge.
4. Follow the steps to complete the purchase through your preferred payment method.
Recharge Coins from a gift card
1. Go to www.tiktok.com/coin/redeem.
2. Enter the PIN code from the gift card to redeem Coins.
Keep in mind that recharging Coins from a gift card isn't available everywhere.
