What are LIVE Gifts on TikTok?
LIVE Gifts is a feature that allows viewers to interact with creators' LIVE streams by sending virtual Gifts. After you turn on LIVE Gifts and go LIVE, your viewers can send virtual Gifts to your LIVE to engage and express themselves. LIVE Gifts is one of the ways your viewers can make your content more popular.
TikTok uses Diamonds to recognize a creator's popularity and contributions to our platform. We'll give you Diamonds based on how popular your LIVE content is or if you win campaigns or missions. The number of Diamonds a creator receives is one of several factors that we take into account to determine their total LIVE rewards under our Reward Policy. At the end of your LIVE, you'll see the total number of Diamonds collected in your LIVE summary.
Note: Collecting Diamonds is subject to our Virtual Items Policy.
What are the eligibility requirements for LIVE Gifts?
To turn on LIVE Gifts, you must meet the following requirements:
• Live in a location where LIVE Gifts is available.
• Be at least 18 years old (or 19 in South Korea).
• Be eligible to go LIVE.
• Have an account that is in good standing and adheres to our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
Note: Government, Politician, and Political Party Accounts, and other public interest accounts are not eligible to collect Diamonds through LIVE Gifts.
How to manage LIVE Gifts
To turn LIVE Gifts on or off:
1. On the LIVE screen, tap Settings.
2. Turn the LIVE Gifts setting on or off.
3. Make any additional changes on the LIVE screen and tap Go LIVE to complete.
