What is a LIVE match?
A LIVE match is a type of co-host mode on TikTok LIVE that allows people to complete challenges against each other as individuals or on a team. During a match, LIVE match contributors can support their favorite creator by sending Gifts or liking the LIVE. Each Gift or like represents a certain number of points. The creator or team that collects the most points wins the LIVE match.
There are two types of LIVE matches on TikTok:
• Solo match: Compete individually against others during a LIVE match.
• Team match: Compete as part of a team during a LIVE match.
Creators can also select if they want all Gifts or specific Gifts to count toward the LIVE match scores. During a specific-Gift match, keep in mind that viewers can send other Gifts or like the LIVE, but only the chosen Gift will count toward the final scores. Specific Gifts count whether they're sent on their own or from a Gift Box.
How to start a LIVE match
1. Start the co-host, then tap the Match button at the bottom.
2. From here:
༚ If there are 2 people in the co-host LIVE, tap Send invite.
༚ If there are more than 3 people in the co-host LIVE, tap Solo match or Team match, then tap Send invite.
After the creator(s) accept your invite, the match will start.
