Linking your email on Android
To help you get discovered by people you may know on TikTok, you can choose to link your email address associated with your Android device to your TikTok account. We'll encrypt, store, and process email addresses you link to your account. Depending on other TikTok ad settings, we may also use this information to help advertisers reach you with more personalized ads and to measure ads more effectively.
How to manage the emails linked with your TikTok account
You can manage or delete the emails linked with your TikTok account at any time in your settings.
To manage email linking on Android devices:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu button at the top.
3. Tap Settings and privacy, then tap Privacy.
4. Tap Sync contacts and Facebook friends.
5. Turn Sync contacts off.
Note: This will prevent automatic email linking and contact book syncing moving forward. Keep in mind, turning contact syncing off doesn't remove previously synced emails or contacts. To remove all previously synced emails and contacts, see the steps below.
To delete emails previously linked with TikTok on Android devices:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu button at the top.
3. Tap Settings and privacy, then tap Privacy.
4. Tap Sync contacts and Facebook friends.
5. Tap Remove previously synced contacts, then tap Remove from the pop-up.
Note: This will remove all previously linked emails along with contact book data and automatically turn off contact syncing from future periodic syncing. Keep in mind, deleting linked emails doesn't remove emails or phone numbers you may have used to sign up for a TikTok account or for account authentication purposes. What happens if I delete my TikTok account?
If you delete your account, all contacts and emails you've shared with TikTok will be deleted along with any contact information that has been matched to you.
