Who can Stitch with your videos • How to turn Stitch on or off • Manage Stitch videos associated with your video
You can control who can Stitch your videos, as well as manage Stitches created with your videos. With the allow reuse of content setting, you can turn Stitch on or off for individual posts. If you turn Stitch off, others can't Stitch with your videos. You also have the option to remove Stitch posts associated with your content with the reuse of content history setting.
Keep in mind that if you turn Stitch off, this will also affect who can Duet or create stickers with your posts, and add your post to their Story.
Who can Stitch with your videos
To choose who can Stitch your videos:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Privacy, then tap Reuse of content.
4. Tap Allow reuse of content from and choose who you'd like to allow to Stitch. You can choose Everyone or Friends (followers you follow back). Keep in mind that you must have a public account to allow others to Stitch your videos.
How to turn Stitch on or off
Before you make a post
You can choose if you want others to Stitch with this video before it's posted.
1. Create your post.
2. On the Post screen, tap More options.
3. Turn the Allow reuse of content setting on or off.
For an existing post
1. Go to your video you'd like to update.
2. Tap the More options ... button on the side of the video.
3. Tap Privacy settings at the bottom. You may need to swipe to find it.
4. Turn the Allow reuse of content setting on or off. You may need to scroll to find it.
Manage Stitch videos associated with your video
You can view or delete all Stitch videos associated with your video. If you choose to delete Stitches associated with your video, then all those videos, including your original video, will be permanently removed.
To view or delete associated Stitch videos in your privacy settings:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Privacy, then tap Reuse of content.
4. Tap Reuse of content history.
5. Select the video you'd like to manage, then tap the More options ... button at the top.
6. Tap Remove all posts, then tap Remove to confirm. This will permanently remove your original post and all associated Duet and Stitch videos. If there are more than 10 posts, you may have to verify that your account belongs to you.
Keep in mind that if you wish to keep a copy of your original post, you can download it to your device before completing the above steps.
To view or delete associated Stitch videos in your activity center:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Activity center.
4. Tap Reuse of content history.
5. Choose the video you'd like to manage, and tap the More options … button next to the video.
