Your ads settings on TikTok
You can adjust your ads settings to control the way advertisers share your data, including your off-TikTok activity. You'll always see ads on TikTok based on data outlined in our Privacy Policy.
How to disconnect or reconnect advertisers
You can disconnect advertisers you recently interacted with to stop tailoring ads based on your off-TikTok data. You can reconnect with advertisers at any time.
From the TikTok app
1. Tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then tap Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Ads.
4. Tap Disconnect advertisers.
5. Turn the setting off next to the advertiser(s) you want to disconnect.
From a web browser
1. Hover over your profile at the top, then click Settings.
2. Click Ads.
3. Click Disconnect advertisers.
4. Turn the setting off next to the advertiser(s) you want to disconnect.
Keep in mind that the Disconnect advertisers setting only displays if the Targeted ads or Personalized ads setting is turned on, depending on your location.
If you'd like to reconnect the advertiser(s), tap or click Advertisers you have disconnected.
How to clear your off-TikTok activity
You can clear your off-TikTok activity every 24 hours.
From the TikTok app
1. Tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then tap Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Ads.
4. Tap Clear activity, then tap Confirm.
From a web browser
1. Hover over your profile at the top, then click Settings.
2. Click Ads.
3. Click Clear activity, then click Confirm.
Keep in mind that it may take up to 30 days for your off-TikTok activity to be disconnected from your account.
