You can create different types of posts on TikTok, including video, photo, and text posts.
How to post a video on TikTok
To post a video:
TikTok app
1. In the TikTok app, tap the Add post + button at the bottom.
2. Select a maximum length for your video. Or tap Upload to add videos from your device and continue to step 4.
3. Tap the Record button, and when you're finished, tap the Continue ✓ button at the bottom.
4. Add a filter, sound, text, stickers, effects, and more, or use advanced editing tools.
5. Tap Your Story to post to your Stories or Next to make additional edits, including:
༚ Add description
༚ Add hashtags
༚ Tag people
༚ Add a location
༚ Add link
༚ Manage privacy settings
6. Tap Post to publish your video, or tap Drafts to save it. Your drafts are visible only to you on your profile.
Web browser
1. Click Upload at the top.
2. Click Select video to upload or Select file.
3. Choose the video you'd like to upload.
Note: When you upload a video on your web browser, your entire video will be uploaded. To change the length of the video, upload your video in the TikTok app.

How to post a photo on TikTok
To post a photo from your device:
1. In the TikTok app, tap the Add post + button at the bottom.
2. Tap Photo, then tap Upload to select photos from your device. You can add up to 35 photos.
3. Tap Next. Swipe to switch photos and make edits. You can add a filter, sound, text, stickers, or crop your photos.
4. Tap Your Story to post to your Stories or Next again to make additional edits, including:

༚ Add description
༚ Add hashtags
༚ Tag people
༚ Add a location
༚ Add link
༚ Manage privacy settings
5. Tap Post to publish your post, or tap Drafts to save it. Your drafts are visible only to you on your profile.
To post a live photo:
1. In the TikTok app, tap the Add post + button at the bottom.
2. Tap the Record button to take a photo.
3. Add a filter, sound, text, stickers, effects, and more, or use advanced editing tools.
4. Tap the post settings at the bottom to manage who can view your post.
5. Tap Your Story to post to your Stories or tap the Done ✓ button at the bottom to post to the feeds.
How to post text on TikTok
To post text:
1. In the TikTok app, tap the Add post + button at the bottom.
2. Tap Text.
3. Enter your text and adjust the text size, style, alignment, font, and color. Tap Done to continue.
4. Tap Stickers to add stickers, emojis, or search for animated GIFs.
5. Drag to move the sticker. To delete, drag it to the Delete button at the top of the screen until it's selected, then release.
6. Make additional edits, such as the background color and post settings.
7. Tap Post to feed or Your Story to complete. Otherwise, you can tap the Drafts button to save and edit it later.
