Auto-generated captions
Auto-generated captions use speech recognition technology to generate text for audio or video content. Captions will be automatically generated for videos that you upload. This can help people who are deaf or hard of hearing to access content on TikTok.

2. On the post screen, tap More options.
3. Tap Select video language, then choose a language for the captions.
4. When you're done, tap Post. Eligible videos will show auto-generated captions based on the selected language.
To edit or remove auto-generated captions:
1. In the TikTok app, go to your video with auto-generated captions.
2. Tap the caption on your video, then tap the Edit captions button.
3. Edit or remove any of the captions on your video.
4. Tap Save at the top to update the captions.
Creator captions
You can edit and design creator captions for your videos, such as changing the font style and color.
To turn on creator captions while creating a video:
1. In the TikTok app, tap the Add post + button at the bottom.
2. Record or upload a video, then continue to the preview screen.
3. Tap the Captions button on the side panel. Your video's speech audio will then automatically be transcribed into text.
༚ If you're using creator captions for the first time, you'll be prompted to turn on the feature by opting in.
4. Once captions are created, you can preview and edit each line. When you're ready, tap Save.
Photosensitivity
We'll add a photosensitive warning to your videos if it contains TikTok effects that may cause visual sensitivity to others. Viewers can choose to opt out of watching and manage their video display preferences in account settings. Learn more about photosensitive videos on TikTok.
