What are sticker sets on TikTok?
Sticker sets are graphics made by you or others that can be used with direct messaging on TikTok. You can find and explore sticker sets in the sticker store and send them in direct messages.
If you've previously created your own sticker sets, you can view the existing ones at TikTok Stickers by logging in to your TikTok account on a web browser.
What are custom stickers on TikTok?
Custom stickers are graphics you create from your own photos or GIFs that can be used in direct messages on TikTok. When you send custom stickers to other people, they can save and share them in their direct messages.
If your sticker is shared and saved by many people or multiple times, it may be recommended to others in direct messages. You'll be notified if your sticker is recommended and you can choose to turn off recommendations for your sticker.
How to create a custom sticker on TikTok
To create a custom sticker:
1. In the TikTok app, go to a chat in your inbox.
2. Tap the Emoji button.
3. Tap the Favorites ✩ button, then tap the Create sticker + button. You may need to grant TikTok access to your photo library.
4. Choose an image from your device.
5. Edit your sticker, then tap Create sticker.
Your sticker will be added to your messaging favorites and can be used in any of your chats. To remove it from your favorites, press and hold the sticker, then tap Remove.

What are video stickers on TikTok?
Video stickers are TikTok videos converted into stickers, which can be uploaded to the sticker store for others to discover and use in direct messaging.
Note: You must be at least 16 years old to create video stickers and allow others to create stickers from your videos.
How to create a video sticker on TikTok
To create a video sticker:
1. In the TikTok app, choose a video:
༚ From someone's video, tap the Share button on the side.
༚ From your video, tap the More options … button on the side.
2. Tap Create sticker at the bottom. You may need to scroll across. Only videos with the sticker permission turned on will display this option.
3. Edit the sticker. When you're done, tap Next at the top.
4. To choose who can discover and use your video sticker in TikTok, turn the Make public setting on or off. You can also add up to 10 keywords to describe your sticker.
5. Tap Create sticker. You can find your sticker in your messaging favorites and profile.
To create a video sticker in a direct message:
1. In the TikTok app, go to a chat in your inbox.
2. Tap the Emoji button.
3. Tap the Favorites ✩ button, then tap the Create sticker + button.
4. Tap Create video sticker, then choose a video from the Liked, Posted, or Favorites tabs. Only videos with the sticker permissions turned on will be displayed here.
5. Edit the sticker. When you're done, tap Next at the top.
6. To choose who can discover and use your video sticker in TikTok, turn the Make public setting on or off.
7. Tap Create sticker.
Your sticker will be added to your messaging favorites. To remove it from your favorites, press and hold the sticker, then tap Remove.
Any video stickers you create are also available from your profile where you can send them in a direct message, view the original video, add them to the sticker store, or delete them.

How to manage video sticker settings
You can choose who can create stickers from your posts, add or remove your stickers from the sticker store, turn off recommendations for custom stickers, and delete them.
Manage sticker privacy settings for your TikTok posts
With the allow reuse of content setting, you can turn sticker privacy settings on or off for individual posts. If you turn this setting off, others can't create stickers with your posts. You also have the option to remove stickers associated with your content with the reuse of content history setting.
Keep in mind that if you turn your sticker privacy settings off, this will also affect who can Stitch or Duet with your posts, and add your post to their Story.
Before you make a post
From your settings
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Privacy, then tap Reuse of content.
4. Tap Allow reuse of content from and choose who you'd like to allow to create stickers. This setting is turned on by default to Everyone if you're 18 years or older and your account is public.
From the Post screen
1. In the TikTok app, create your post.
2. On the Post screen, tap More options.
3. Turn the Allow reuse of content setting on or off.
For an existing post
1. In the TikTok app, go to the video you'd like to update.
2. Tap the More options … button on the side of the video.
3. Tap Privacy settings at the bottom. You may need to scroll across.
4. Turn the Allow reuse of content setting on or off.
Add or remove your video sticker from the sticker store
To add or remove your video sticker from the sticker store:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Stickers button.
3. Tap a sticker. From here:
༚ Tap Add to store to add your sticker to the sticker store and make it visible to others on your public profile.
༚ Tap Hide from profile and store to remove it from your profile and the sticker store. You'll still be able to send your sticker in direct messages, but it won't be visible to others from your public profile.
Turn off recommendations for your custom sticker
To turn off recommendations for your sticker:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Inbox at the bottom.
2. Tap System notifications.
3. Go to the recommended sticker notification, then tap View more.
4. Tap Don't recommend, then tap Confirm.
Delete your video sticker
To delete your video sticker from the sticker store:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Stickers button.
3. Tap a sticker, then tap Delete. Your sticker will be deleted but can still be accessed in existing chats.
