What is Whee?

Whee is a social app that lets you stay connected with your friends. On Whee, you can interact through direct messages or post photos to a feed that only your Whee friends can see.

Whee is available to people 16 years or older.

Getting started with Whee

Your TikTok account is linked with your Whee profile so you can stay logged in and navigate between the two apps. If you don't have a TikTok account, you can sign up for one through Whee.

To sign up or log in to Whee:
1. Download Whee from Google Play or the App Store.
2. Open the app. From here, you can:
༚  Create a TikTok account, which you can use for both TikTok and Whee. Tap Sign up at the bottom, then follow the steps to create a TikTok account.
༚  Log in using your existing TikTok account.
༚  Log in through a third-party platform, such as Google or Facebook. Keep in mind that you'll still need a TikTok account if you choose this method.

Your account and privacy settings in Whee

Some of your account and privacy settings are shared between TikTok and Whee, and some settings are managed on the Whee app.

Account information and privacy settings you can manage on Whee:
•  Profile photo: Upload a photo for your Whee profile. Keep in mind that you're required to have a profile photo.
•  Preferred name: Add a preferred name for your Whee profile. It's required to provide a preferred first name. Your preferred name shouldn't contain any special characters or sensitive information.
•  Friends: Add or remove friends on Whee. Your friends on Whee are separate from your friends or accounts that you follow on TikTok.
•  Suggest account to contacts: Suggest your Whee account to your contacts. This setting is turned on by default for people 18 years or older. You can turn this setting on or off at any time.
•  Safe mode: Filter messages that contain sensitive content or are from potentially unsafe sources. This setting is turned on by default.

Note: Any changes you make to the above settings or account information only apply to your Whee profile.

Account information and privacy settings shared between TikTok and Whee:
•  User information: Update the contact information for your account.
•  Password: Update the password for your account.
•  Deactivate or delete account: Temporarily deactivate or permanently delete your account. Keep in mind that if you choose this option, we'll deactivate or delete both your TikTok account and Whee profile and you'll no longer have access to either.
•  Sync contacts: Sync your phone contacts to Whee. If you previously synced your contacts in TikTok, your contacts are shared with Whee. You can turn this setting on or off at any time.
•  Blocked accounts: Manage the accounts that you blocked. Accounts that you blocked on TikTok are also blocked on Whee.
