What is fundraising on TikTok?
Donations allow you to fundraise for causes you care about through Donation Stickers in your videos and profile. Anyone with a TikTok account can use the Donations feature to help raise money for nonprofit organizations.
How Donations work on TikTok
You can fundraise for nonprofits using Donation Stickers on your videos or Donation Links in your profile bio. Viewers can then tap these links and stickers and donate to the organization via our third-party provider.
How to fundraise on TikTok
You can add a Donation Sticker to your videos and LIVE videos, or a Donation Link to your profile bio. You can choose a nonprofit from our list of approved organizations to create a fundraiser.
To add a fundraiser to your profile:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. From your profile, tap Edit profile.
3. Tap Add nonprofit to your profile.
4. Select the nonprofit organization you'd like to add to your profile. To learn more about an organization, tap the Learn more button.
Once selected, the Donation Link will automatically be added to your profile bio. If you'd like to adjust the nonprofit on your profile, tap the organization name on the Edit profile screen.
To add a fundraiser to your video:
1. In the TikTok app, tap the Add post + button at the bottom.
2. Create a video.
3. Tap the Stickers button on the side, then tap the Support Nonprofit sticker.
4. Select an organization. To learn more about an organization, tap the Learn more button.
5. Place the sticker where you want it to go on the video.
6. Write a description, adjust video settings, and tap Post.
The selected organization will also be displayed as a link on the video above your nickname. Once posted, you won't be able to change the organization or remove the sticker from your post.
To add a fundraiser to your LIVE:
1. On the LIVE screen, tap the Settings button at the bottom.
2. Select Support nonprofit from the settings list.
3. Select the organization you'd like to support. To learn more about an organization, tap the Learn more button.
4. Place the sticker where you want it to and go LIVE.
What are the requirements for fundraising on TikTok:
There are a few things to keep in mind when fundraising on TikTok:
• You must be 18 years or older to add a fundraiser to your videos, LIVE, or profile.
• Only organizations approved by us can be added as fundraisers.
• Stickers can't be removed from videos or LIVE videos once posted. Donation Links can be removed from your profile at any time.
• Anyone who taps your link or sticker can see the amount your video has raised and the display names of non-anonymous donors.
