What is a bulletin board on TikTok?
The bulletin board is an in-app channel for creators to communicate and engage with their followers. By joining a bulletin board, you can follow your favorite creators' latest announcements, event updates, or other entertaining news.
How to join a bulletin board
When creators you follow create a new bulletin board, you'll receive a one-time notification from TikTok to join the bulletin board. Or you can also join it from the creator's profile.
From your inbox
1. In the TikTok app, tap Inbox at the bottom.
2. Tap Activity, then tap the invitation to enter the bulletin board.
3. Tap Join.
From a creator's profile
1. In the TikTok app, go to the creator's profile.
2. Tap the bulletin board displayed under their bio. You'll only see the bulletin board entry if the creator chooses to show it on their profile.
3. Tap Join.
After joining the bulletin board, it will appear in your inbox next to other message threads. Keep in mind that if you didn't already follow the creator, you'll automatically follow them when you join their bulletin board.
How to leave a bulletin board
1. In the TikTok app, tap Inbox at the bottom.
2. Tap the bulletin board to enter it.
3. Tap the More options ... button at the top.
4. Tap Leave, then tap Leave again to confirm.
Once you leave the bulletin board, you won't receive new bulletins, but its history will remain visible to you. If you want to turn off notifications, you can turn the Mute bulletin board setting on by following the steps above.
How to respond to a bulletin
You can send emoji reactions to interact with a bulletin.
1. In the TikTok app, go to a bulletin in your inbox.
2. You can share your reaction in a few different ways:
༚ Double-tap the bulletin to send a heart emoji.
༚ Press and hold the bulletin to select a default emoji.
༚ Press and hold the bulletin, then tap the Emoji button to select an emoji you like.
Keep in mind that only people who have followed the bulletin board can react to a bulletin, but your emoji reactions will be visible to everyone.
How to report a bulletin
To help foster a welcoming and safe experience on TikTok, we encourage you to report bulletin board content that goes against our Community Guidelines.
To report a bulletin:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Inbox at the bottom.
2. Tap the bulletin board to enter it.
3. Go to the bulletin that you'd like to report.
4. Press and hold the bulletin, then tap Report and follow the steps provided.
