What are comment insights on TikTok?
Comment insights allow creators to better understand how their audience interacts with their posts through comments. Comment insights uses AI to summarize and filter comments into different categories to help you:
• Get insights on the most frequently discussed topics in your comments
• Get inspiration for future content from audience suggestions
• View comments with positive sentiments or questions from viewers
• Decide which comments and viewers to engage with
You can also choose to allow your comments to be included when AI is used to summarize topics on other people's posts.
Important things to know:
• This feature isn't currently available everywhere.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use comment insights, where available.
• All comments must follow our Community Guidelines. If you believe a comment violates our guidelines, please report it to us.
How to view comment insights
You can view comment insights for your posts or other creator's posts through the TikTok app, the TikTok Studio app, or a web browser.
From the TikTok app
To view your comment analytics:
1. Tap Profile at the bottom, then select a post.
2. Tap More insights or More data at the bottom.
3. Tap the Engagement tab.
4. Tap a topic below Comments.
From the TikTok Studio app
To view your comment analytics:
1. Tap the Analytics tab at the bottom.
2. Tap the Engagement tab to view comment metrics.
To view another creator's comment analytics:
1. Go to the creator's post you want to view.
2. Tap Insights on the side of the person's post to view additional metrics.
From a web browser
To view your comment analytics:
1. Go to www.tiktok.com/tiktokstudio.
2. Click Posts on the sidebar menu.
3. Click the View analytics button next to the post you want to view.
4. Click a comment topic.
You can also view your comment analytics from tiktok.com by clicking Profile in the sidebar menu, then selecting a post.
To view another creator's comment analytics:
1. Go to www.tiktok.com/tiktokstudio.
2. Click Inspiration on the sidebar menu.
3. Click a post, then click a comment topic.
How to manage comment insights settings
There are two settings that allow people to manage comment insights:
• Allow insights on my videos: Use AI to summarize and filter comments on your posts into different categories.
• Include my comments for insights: Include your comments when using AI to summarize and filter comments on other people's posts.
Note: These settings are turned on by default. You can turn them on or off at any time.
From the TikTok app
1. Tap Profile at the bottom, then tap the Menu ☰ button at the top.
2. Tap TikTok Studio.
3. Tap the Settings button at the top.
4. Turn the Allow insights on my videos and/or Include my comments for insights settings on or off.
From the TikTok Studio app
1. Tap the Profile button.
2. Tap Privacy.
3. Tap Comments.
4. Turn the Allow insights on my videos and/or Include my comments for insights settings on or off.
From a web browser
1. Go to www.tiktok.com/tiktokstudio.
2. Click your profile picture at the top, then click Settings.
3. Turn the Allow insights on my videos and/or Include my comments for insights settings on or off.
