You can choose to sync your device's contacts to your TikTok account to help you find and follow people you might know.
How to find contacts on TikTok
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Add friends button next to Share profile.
3. From here:
༚ If this is your first time syncing your device's contacts, tap Find next to Contacts, then follow the steps to allow TikTok to access your contacts.
༚ If you previously synced your device's contacts to TikTok, tap Contacts.
4. Tap Follow.
How to turn off contact sync on TikTok
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Privacy.
4. Tap Sync contacts and Facebook friends.
5. Turn the Sync contacts setting off. This also turns off contact access from your device settings.
Keep in mind that if you remove TikTok's access to your contacts in your device settings, we'll no longer sync your contacts, but we'll continue to suggest accounts based on the contacts that were previously synced. If you wish to remove all contacts on TikTok and stop syncing contacts on all devices, you can remove previously synced contacts from your TikTok settings.
How to remove all contacts from TikTok
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Settings and privacy.
4. Tap Privacy.
5. Tap Sync contacts and Facebook friends.
6. Tap Remove previously synced contacts, then tap Remove to confirm.
